Cheshire Mouldings BMW has secured the services of Richard Kerr, who will deputise for the injured Rory Skinner at this weekend\u2019s Bennetts British Superbike round at Brands Hatch in Kent aboard the TAS Racing prepared M1000RR Superbike. Further rounds will be taken in consideration based on Rory\u2019s full recovery and return to racing.<\/p>\n

Davey Todd will continue in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship with Cheshire Mouldings at Brands Hatch, despite being the number one choice in Rory\u2019s absence. Team management reviewed the options, but the Superstock title remains a major goal priority. With Davey leading the series, team management felt it was unrealistic to task one rider to represent the team, manufacturer and sponsors in two British championship classes.<\/p>\n

Kerr, the reigning National Superstock champion, is currently plying his trade in Moto America\u2019s Superstock series, but the 23-year-old is relishing the opportunity to ride the Cheshire Mouldings BMW Superbike this weekend.<\/p>\n

“A few weeks in racing can certainly throw a few curve balls. Rory has shown great pedigree this season in BSB, as has Davey in the Superstock series, so taking this into consideration, we felt it best for Davey to continue in the National Superstock Championship and chase his second title in the class \u2013 this time for Cheshire Mouldings BMW. Taking on Superstock and Superbike is just too much to ask of one rider and he understands the decision.<\/p>\n

Richard is a talented young man and fully understands that he will stand in until Rory is fit to ride. He comes with a British title under his belt, and we are confident he is the correct choice in the circumstances. It\u2019s always nice to give up-and-coming young riders an opportunity and I firmly believe he will fit in very well at TAS Racing.\u201d<\/p>\n
